Sarah Powell Wines

Oregon, Rogue Valley, USA
www.spwines.com

The wines of Sarah Powell have long been regarded as some of the finest ever produced in Southern Oregon. After Graduating from UC Davis, she worked in the wine industry in France, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Washington and finally, Oregon. Sarah was the winemaker at Foris Vineyards for ten years and won many awards all over the United States. Robert Parker called her one of the best winemakers in Oregon.

Sarah unfortunately passed away prematurely in 2004 just after her label was released. Two of her wines are still available: Pinot Noir and the Syrah – both are from the Rogue Valley region of the Oregon State. Commencing with the 2003 vintage, the Sarah Powell wines are now made by Laurent Montalieu, the owner of Solena cellars. Her vineyard choices will also be maintained. We are sure that Sarah would be pleased that her wines will continue in a manner that will perpetuate her dream.
