The wines of Sarah Powell have long been regarded as some of the finest ever produced in Southern Oregon. After Graduating from UC Davis, she worked in the wine industry in France, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Washington and finally, Oregon. Sarah was the winemaker at Foris Vineyards for ten years and won many awards all over the United States. Robert Parker called her one of the best winemakers in Oregon.
Sarah unfortunately passed away prematurely in 2004 just after her label was released. Two of her wines are still available: Pinot Noir and the Syrah – both are from the Rogue Valley region of the Oregon State. Commencing with the 2003 vintage, the Sarah Powell wines are now made by Laurent Montalieu, the owner of Solena cellars. Her vineyard choices will also be maintained. We are sure that Sarah would be pleased that her wines will continue in a manner that will perpetuate her dream. |

Trium Wines

Trium (pronounced TREE-um), Latin for 'of the three", is a dream come true for three longtime friends who believe that great wine is made in the vineyard: Kurt and Laura lotspeich and Nancy Tappan. For years they sold their grapes to many Oregon wineries but longed to see the fruit of their labour bottled as wine expressing their passion for excellence.
After more then twenty-five years of experience at their sites, they know where the best production and the highest quality fruit are found in their vineyards. They farm using eco-friendly, sustainable practices and pride themselves on producing wine that expresses the unique qualities of their choicest fruit. |
