It was 1994 when Tomas Achaval started dreaming about Nómade and 7 Lunas Wines. The Andes and the surrounding constellation of vineyards captivated his soul.
In 2002, Tomas started looking for the best terroirs in the Andean Region where the selected grape varieties can reach their full expression and make wines that will capture the unique flavour of the Andes.
The 7 Lunas Wines recognize the impact that the moon has in nature and our lives. "Seven are the moons that need to pass since the vine buds start blooming at the beginning of spring up to harvesting time, in the early autumn, the most important time; and the one that determines the wine quality."
Nomade wines are crafted from grapes grown in the Andes Mountains. The philosophy of Nomade wines is to surprise customers with wines of very high quality, produced from grapes from unique locations that will capture the flavours of the Andes. The wines are crafted with grapes from Uco Valley vineyards that Tomas Achaval controlled and worked since 2002. Yields are kept below 8.000 kg/hectare and hand harvested in March and April. The style of these wines is rich; flowery and fresh.
